The Doctoral Alumni Association of CityU School of Education (In-Preparation) Establishes the First Academic Paper Collaborative Publication Team

Under the meticulous organization of Professor Xu Xiaoshu, 18 members of the Doctoral Alumni Association of the School of Education at City University of Macau (In-Preparation) have jointly formed the first Macao-based interdisciplinary academic paper publication team. The team is dedicated to leading frontier exploration and innovation in the field of academic writing, aiming to achieve high-quality paper publications through collective collaboration. By harnessing the wisdom and strength of doctoral alumni, this team is poised to make significant contributions to the advancement of higher education in Macao.


During the two-hour discussion, Professor Xu leveraged her extensive experience in academic publishing to efficiently organize the division of labor and team formation for three academic papers, with first drafts scheduled for completion within the next four months. Mr. Chen Huimin detailed the overall framework of the Alumni Association's academic development platform, which encompasses academic achievement showcases, project collaborations, journal publications, and academic lectures. Team members engaged in a vibrant exchange regarding their respective research specialties and brainstormed strategies for writing SSCI papers, an initiative that will undoubtedly enhance the academic influence of the alumni.

Dr. Lai I Wan stated: "In this seminar, Professor Xu guided us through a profound exploration of core issues in feedback literacy and Large Language Models (LLM). Her pragmatic approach and constructive suggestions on the division of labor and paper structure have been immensely beneficial; her mentorship is truly admirable! My deepest realization is that starting scientific research is not always as daunting as imagined; the key lies in the guidance of predecessors and practitioners who lead the way. Professor Xu and our fellow doctoral alumni are precisely the role models and sources of strength we need. We hope the alumni research platform of City University of Macau will gather even greater momentum in the future, becoming a more powerful hub for academic exchange and collaboration to collectively drive academic progress and reach new heights!"


Dr. Zhao Shuli expressed her gratitude for the research writing group organized by Professor Xu, noting that it provides a valuable opportunity for members to grow together, support one another, and gradually evolve into mature researchers.


In conclusion, Dr. Huang Yi extended heartfelt thanks to all participating alumni for their enthusiasm and expressed great expectations for the success of this collaboration, aiming to set a new milestone for the development of higher education in Macao.
